Hi so I don’t have the retaining ring or lock and am in need of getting my truck in use asap(my cold side pipe blew were it connects at) I have a new one but it doesn’t have the retaining ring and lock do you think I just use a hose clamp at where it connects to the intercooler? Or should I order a retaining ring and lock

Don't turbo engines fail sooner than a aspirated engine . All that carbon build up kills turbos.

My experience with a 1943 GPW and a 95 YJ is that if you buy a CJ or Wrangler type Jeep that at least 10 years old, the price will rise along with inflation, at least. If you keep it in good shape or restore, Jeeps can be good investments. Also, this only holds if you don’t spend a lot on mods, and keep it close to stock.

Ford is the poor man’s TRX. I tried both, TRX by a mile.

You'll be fine out west in it. Seen these things have electrical issues going through water off-roading and kids smoking the clutch on 6 speed models. Oddly enough the auto is more reliable than that POS 6 speed that's used in the viper, challenger, mustang etc all made by tremec lol. If you do hit water, get a solace guard for the underside or a shield of some sort man. Enjoy the ride.

Should have gotten full sized cabs too, not a huge fan of single cabs, trucks look like something is missing from them. They are both super clean though.

Raptor R is way more luxurious! TRX is an amazing truck though! I love them both, but I am a ford guy myself.

Tips for anyone with a 2013 (first gen) Ecoboost: - To access the drain plug, the rear undertray must be removed first - The drain plug is 13mm, not 15mm (at least it is on mine, maybe they changed it) - The only practical way to access the filter is from above and in front of the engine

Raptor if both were same price because it's simply a far better truck with exception to interior. But for the money that they both sell at, the TRX is a better bargain

4.88s on 37s. Reprogrammed the computer so the trans won't go into limp mode. Doing great!

No one who actually uses their truck gets a TRX. I have beat the crap out of my raptor and it still drives like brand new

Both are bad. Just give me a 2000s ford or Chevy and call it a day. Can’t wait in 10 years to see how these type of trucks last up or people just store them in their garages 😂
